Join us as we proudly honor:

Lester Earnest (San Diego State '52) – Significant Sig
Brother Earnest, who also attended Caltech, is a pioneer in computer programming and research. He began in the U.S. Navy, then M.I.T. Later he became a lecturer in computer science at Stanford, and Chief Administrative Officer for Stanford's Artificial Research Lab. He made significant contributions in the field of robotics and worked on the technology that was to become the first spell-checker, search engine, and social network. He also founded Imagen Corp. which used the first desktop publisher with laser printers. His father, Les Earnest, Sr. was a founding member of Delta Xi's original local fraternity, Phi Lambda Xi.

James Bloom (GWU & San Diego State '82) – Order of Constantine
Brother Bloom was instrumental in salvaging the Alpha Beta chapter at U.C. Berkeley in the 1990's. He was Chapter Advisor and helped reorganize the chapter's house corporation and the East Bay Alumni Chapter. He was a longtime member of Sigma Chi's Leadership Training Workshop faculty and a former LeClerg Award winner (top Chapter Advisor).

Douglas Sain (San Diego State & UCSD '87) – Seven Lights
Brother Sain is the Delta Xi House Corporation President and former Treasurer and has effectively seen the chapter through the vacating of the house in 2013, three fraternity tenants and now a sorority tenant in four years. He is also organizing the rebuilding project for the chapter house to come. He was the key founding member for the Iota Chi Chapter at UC San Diego, after having transferred there, seeing them through colony status to chartering.
