June Lunch - Special Guest Bob Ottilie (Stanford '77)
For June, we welcome our guest speaker, Bob Ottilie (Alpha Omega, Stanford University, 1977). Bob is the President of the San Diego Salary Setting Commission, and will talk about the Commission's efforts in 2011 and 2012 to create a mechanism to substantially increase the pay for the Mayor and Council Members. Why an increase? Join us as we listen a fresh perspective.
Bob has been an attorney in San Diego since 1980. Bob's practice focuses on civil trials and administrative matters. His work on the Salary Setting Commission is a continuation of community activities that have included many civic involvements since he ran for City Council in 1987. This has included terms on the San Diego Civil Service Commission, Parks and Rec Commission, Chair of the Mission Bay Park Committee, and now the Salary Setting Commission.
Bob has also chaired the House Corporation for the Alpha Omega Chapter at Stanford after previously chairing a $4(+) million Capital Campaign that renovated Alpha Omega's house in the summer of 2006. In addition to discussing the Salary Setting Commission's work, he will share with us the trials and tribulations of maintaining a 13,000 square foot residence on Stanford's campus and overseeing an aggressive risk management program for the Chapter's approximately 50 members.
ALL Sigma Chi alumni are welcome no matter if you went to school on the east coast, west coast, in the midwest or the south. Spread the word and please pass this invitation along to any alumni who would like to come.
This luncheon WILL SELL OUT so please RSVP below with the links below.
