Alumni Lunch - Jan 2020 - Martin Reiman | Shake Smart

Join us for lunch in January 2020 to hear from local Delta Xi alumnus, Martin Reiman, Co-Founder of Shake Smart Inc. talk about his business and entrepreneurial success since graduating in 2012. Shake Smart was started by Sigma Chi brothers, Kevin Gelfand (Delta Xi '11| and Martin Reiman (Delta Xi '12) during their junior year at SDSU, and generated $3.6 million in revenue in 2017. As of 2019 there were 16 Shake Smart in San Diego and on college campuses across the country with many more in the pipeline.

Shake Smart makes and sells protein shakes, sandwiches, wraps, acai bowls, and cold brew coffee for healthy post-workout snacks.

The company currently employs over 200 people working in the retail outlets and at the San Diego-based headquarters. “The entire company is run by an executive team of nine people all under the age of 30 with a strong women workforce". “Right now, we are on target to have 20 stores open by 2020, but there is a good chance that could happen by the end of 2019.”
