Alumni Lunch - December 2024 | Pete Dolan - NCAA Track & Field Coach

Please join San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni for our 2024 December lunch.

Pete Dolan is a retired collegiate Track & Field and Cross Country coach.  He coached Division 1 athletes at University of California Santa Barbara for over 30 years.  For 33 of these years he was Director of four programs, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country. During his time he won numerous awards including Big West Coach of the Year nine times, and led his teams on several occasions to the National championships with a highest National finish of 9^th in Women’s Cross Country.  He also served nationally as a Western Region Representative on the U.S. Track & Field, Cross Country Coaches Executive Committee.

He was the Director of the UC-Santa Barbara Men’s & Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country from 1985 - 2018. He coached 6 All-Americans: Steeplechase, 800 / 5000 / 10,000 meters Cross Country.

As a leader in athletics Pete was the Founding Member of the California-Nevada State Collegiate Championships, 1995-2018, a Member of the United States Track & Field, Cross Country Coaches Executive Committee, 2005-2011 Men’s Cross-Country West Region (8) Representative, 3 years.
