Monthly Lunch Meeting
Please join San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni for our 2025 January lunch.
Come hear our very own Gary Correira at this month’s luncheon. Brother Gary is a Delta Xi alum, and graduated in 1981. He is a CPA and worked for 30 years as CFO/VP finance for several local companies, including Taylor Guitars and Mirum digital media.
Gary’s involvement with Sigma Chi Alumni dates back to 1986 to current, taking on many positions from Treasurer, newsletter editor, President 1990-1991, board member of the Daniel William Cooper Foundation, organizer of many Significant Sig Dinners, and just active alumni for many years.
After retiring in 2017 he began woodworking classes at Palomar College, joined the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association and continues to learn the skills of the experienced woodworkers. While at Palomar, he began the luthier program building ukulele, acoustic guitar & electric guitar and is now attempting to set up a small shop at home to continue building more ukuleles for family, friends & non-profit organizations. Other hobbies include wine making and gem identification. He resides in Point Loma and has been married for 39 years to Mary, with two children and two grandchildren.
For this meeting we will venture into the world of how to build a ukulele!
ALL Sigma Chi alumni are welcome no matter if you went to school on the east coast, west coast, in the Midwest or the south. Spread the word and please pass this invitation along to any alumni who would like to come.
