Community Service at Ronald McDonald House
Volunteers are the heart of San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House. Each month, hundreds of individuals share their time and talent to make sure families experience the comforts of home while caring for their hospitalized child. Sigma Chi alumni from the San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter were there to lend a hand last Saturday morning.
Coordinated by past alumni chapter president and current Ronald McDonald House board member Anthony Bernal (ΚΣ '03), members from the Alumni Chapter prepped and served food to the families at the House that day. Meals are free of charge to those families. On the menu that day, was roasted lamb, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls, and fresh-cut salads.

Prepping the food - cutting peppers & onions

The volunteer team preps vegetables as the lamb comes up next.
