Delta Xi Faces Disciplinary Actions
The Delta Xi Chapter of Sigma Chi at will face disciplinary actions from San Diego State University related to actions that include an alleged hazing incident.
Sigma Chi headquarters and local Sigma Chi alumni are involved and the next step will be a membership review. Each active brother will meet individually with a committee of alumni to determine if they will remain part of the active chapter. A team of local alumni brothers will work with the remaining active brothers to implement significant changes to the chapter.
As a reminder, Sigma Chi's Alpha Chapter at Miami Ohio was recently deactivated under similar circumstances. Changes must be made for Delta Xi to not suffer the same fate and remain a part of greek life at SDSU.
