2010 Alumni Awards Banquet
Join The San Diego Sig Alumni in Honoring our 2010 Awardees
The San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter cordially invites its members to attend the 2010 San Diego Alumni Awards Banquet where on this evening we will be honoring one local Sigma Chi alumni selected for the Order of Constantine and two brothers selected as "Significant Sigs."
The event will be held on Thursday, September 9th, 2010 at 6:00pm at the Admiral Baker Clubhouse. The Admiral Baker Clubhouse is located at 2400 Admiral Baker Road., Bldg 3604, San Diego, CA 92120. Click HERE for directions.
Our Order of Constantine inductee is Marc Lord, (Delta Xi, '84) who passed earlier this year from a fatal heart attack. The honor of being named a “Constantine Sig” has been conferred on less than 500 brothers since the inception of the Order of Constantine at the 47th Grand Chapter in 1948. Marc's family will attend to accept his award in his place.
Our Significant Sig honorees are (in alphabetical order) Thomas H. Ault (San Diego State, '67), and William C. Johnson, Jr. (Kansas '62)
The Significant Sig award is one of the Fraternity's highest honors. It recognizes "those alumni members whose achievements in their fields of endeavor have brought honor and prestige to the name of Sigma Chi." The Sigma Chi Fraternity has recognized more than 1,100 brothers since the Significant Sig award's inception at the 1935 Grand Chapter.
