We will admit no man who is not believed to be: a man of good character; a student of fair ability, with ambitious purposes, a congenial disposition, possessed of good morals, having a high sense of honor and a deep sense of personal responsibility. That is the standard by which young men are judged and then selected to join Sigma Chi Fraternity.

San Diego Sig Alumni Welcome Kevin Faulconer

Council President Pro Tem Kevin L. Faulconer became Councilmember for District 2 in January 2006 after winning a special election. He was re-elected later that year by an overwhelming margin in the June primary election.

Kevin is passionately committed to guarding San Diego’s tax dollars and protecting our beaches and bays. As chair of the Audit Committee, he worked to restore the City’s credit rating and repair its credibility with investors, and he’s focused on bringing financial stability and accountability back to City Hall. In 2008, he took a lead role in drafting and supporting Proposition C, which passed with 67 percent of the vote. The measure ensures money generated in Mission Bay Park is invested there and at other city parks. He also campaigned in 2008 for alcohol-free beaches and bays.

2010 December Update

2010 was another successful year! At our annual awards banquet in August we honored Thomas H. Ault (San Diego State, '67) and William C. Johnson Jr (Kansas, '62) as our newest Significant Sigs along with the selection of the late Marc Lord (Delta Xi '84) to the Order of Constantine.

In addition to our annual awards banquets, our monthly luncheons were a tremendous success with the highlight coming when CA Assemblymen Nathan Fletcher, representing the 75th District (greater San Diego area), came and spoke to the chapter.

Lastly, we are glad to welcome in a new executive board. In 2011, our alumni chapter is celebrating our 82nd Anniversary and we are working towards our goal of 300 active alumni in our region. For up to date information on events and dues please visit our website www.sandiegosigmachi.com
